Girls Football and AFL Ambassador Program

On Monday the 8th of May we had a Girls Football team compete in the Senior Girls Football round robin. Considering the fact that we had girls from all year levels (7-12) participating, they did an outstanding job throughout the day. It was fantastic to see the effort that the whole team consistently put in to each game. Only a few of the girls had ever played football prior to the round robin; so we were extremely proud to see them all ‘have a go’. We finished the day with one win and three losses but most importantly, all of the girls had huge smiles on their faces and gave positive feedback about how much they enjoyed the day. Well done girls!

AFL Ambassador Tickets

As part of the ‘AFL Ambassadors in Schools’ program we had the opportunity to provide 4 students with free tickets to the AFL game between Richmond and Fremantle on Sunday the 14th of May at the MCG. It turned out to be an exciting afternoon with Fremantle kicking a goal after the siren to win the game. After the game the boys were also lucky enough to be able to go out on to the ground of the MCG and have a kick of the footy. What a great opportunity and experience for the boys! There will be some other AFL tickets available throughout the year for students, so keep an eye out!
