Monterey VCAL Champions for 2019

At a recent ceremony at Mornington Race Course Jemma Millhouse, Senior VCAL, received a certificate of recognition of achievement as Monterey’s top VCAL student for 2019 and a cheque from the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Local Learning Employment Network (FMPLLEN). Senior VCAL student Joshua Davies was recognised for his achievements and was also awarded a cheque and certificate. Josh set a precedent for the LLEN by live streaming the event so that all of the class to could listen to the awards and speeches.  Jemma, who has worked at the LLEN for her structured workplace learning placement this year, was asked to present the annual VCAL address on behalf of all VCAL students. She did a great job!

Not to be left out, the College was the recipient of Runner Up Best Practice Award of all VCAL Providers, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. The consistency of our VCAL programme has seen us placed 2nd 2016, 1st 2017 and 2nd 2018. It has been another big year for VCAL with the College being acknowledged as a provider of excellence for Victoria in VCAL earlier this year.
