Reptile Encounters

On Thursday 19th October, we had Dan from ‘Reptile Encounters’ out to Monterey to show us some of his animals. Students in Year 8 learnt how the body systems of animals work and how these are different to humans. Year 9 students looked at the role of different species within the context of their ecosystem. Our Year 10 and 11 students were able to learn about genetics, evolution and adaptations through interacting with a range of animals such as the Spiny Leaf Insect, frogs, turtles, lizards, snakes and even a Saltwater Crocodile.
