About the Special Programs at Monterey

Monterey offers a diverse curriculum that provides students with a range of options to suit individual pathways. Whether the pathway for a student lies in the direction of VCE or to employment or further training, the curriculum on offer can assist the student to achieve such goals.

Students in Year 7 and 8 are given a wide ranging curriculum designed to expose each student to subjects and associated activities from each Key Learning Area. (KLA)

For example, those students who are identified as likely to benefit from some enhanced learning tasks.

The Learning Centre offers students in need of additional support, a structure that provides the right mix of support, structure, modified work and out of classroom experience to assist students to achieve. School Support personnel provide additional expertise and support in these classes.
