Our students have now moved from the old classrooms into their new and updated learning spaces. The new Learning Centre was designed with contemporary educational design, both open and closed learning spaces and take advantage of natural light and acoustics. The spaces will soon be fitted out with state of the art technology which will help our teachers create environments that inspire our students to learn.
Building works are continuing throughout Term 4 on our new administration and classroom wings. Work has also commenced on the new Senior Centre, which will house offices, classrooms and a senior common area. The refurbishment works are running to schedule and expected to be ready for the start of the 2018 school year.
The past school holidays saw an increase in the refurbishment works across the school, with the new learning spaces and administration building nearing completion to be ready for the 2018 school year.
Works have continued over Term 2 on the rebuild and renovation of the new Administration building and D Wing, with the framing of offices now completed and framing of the classrooms continuing and to be finished soon. The winter school holidays will see some intense works done to the buildings, including plastering of internal walls in the Administration building, the demolition of part of the E wing, as well as works continuing in the D Wing.
Building works have continued throughout Term 2 with the partial demolition of D wing and the internal restructuring of the building. We are also in the final stages of the development of the Doctors in School Building which will be operational soon.
The 2017 year started off with the commencement of the rebuilding and refurbishment of classrooms, library and administration buildings with the latest light, space and acoustic technologies, transforming the school from one of the oldest built and designed schools on the Peninsula to one of the newest.
