Year 7 Soccer

The last week of Term 2 had our Year 7 boys soccer team compete in a soccer round robin with 7 other teams.

We had Paterson River, Elisabeth Murdoch College and Frankston High in our pool. Our first game was a tough one. EMC were a very strong team that clearly had a lot of experienced soccer players in their team. After working very hard and creating a few chances near goal, our boys eventually went down 5-0. The next game was against Paterson River. Our boys showed a fair bit of improvement with their defense in this game. But we finished the game behind with the score reading 3-0.

In the last game we managed to score 2 of our own goals against Frankston. While Frankston managed to score 6 of their own goals; I was extremely happy that the boys got to experience the excitement of scoring some goals after showing some resilience and perseverance. Well done to Elvir and Tegy – who were our two goal scorers. Selwyn and Rami also performed particularly well throughout the day in defense. Well done to all of the boys for putting in their best efforts throughout the entire day.
