The Middle School Program at Monterey Secondary College, encompassing Years 9 and 10, is designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore a wide range of learning, career and pathway options while meeting their individual needs. Engagement, wellbeing and differentiation are at the forefront of our approach, ensuring every student is supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, the program provides a flexible and personalised learning experience that allows students to discover their strengths, develop independence, and pursue areas of interest through a broad range of elective subjects. Across Years 9 and 10, students are encouraged to build essential interpersonal, critical thinking and self-management skills while progressively exploring future education, training and career pathways.
As the gateway to Senior School, the Middle School Program prepares students with the confidence, knowledge and skills required to make informed decisions about their future and achieve success in their chosen pathway.
